Is This True???

alright, well I lift at school and I'm about 5'6. When I bench press, just do any other exercise with weights, people say that the shorter you are, the more you can lift because you have a shorter distance to go......Now, I'm not sure if they're saying that because they cant do as much as I can or what.. But this has been on my mind for a while.. My 5'5 buddy bench presses 300lbs and he's only 16... Well everyone says that it's only because he's short and that his muscles are more dense....I think this is absolute bs.. So is it true that shorter people can lift more than taller people because of the shorter range of motion?

Limb and Muscle Length

Another strength factor that is naturally determined is limb length. Persons with short limbs tend to be able to lift more weight because of advantageous leverage factors (arms and legs). Similarly, differences in strength development may come about because of variation in muscle length. Some people have long muscles, and some people have short muscles. Persons with relatively long muscles have greater potential for developing size and strength than persons with relatively short muscles.

I understand were your idea for the weighted clothing training came from, I am a big fan of this certain show. The vest isnt the best thing to train in, in real life though, however, there is something that seems to work very good. Its called hyper gravity training. It uses your center of gravity more rather than making you top heavy like the vest would do.

go there to buy the product and read up on it.
