Is this normal?

Okay, well, I weighed myself today, and I measured some areas.

Well, I'm down to 210, which is..good, I guess, because i'm losing steadily. (From 234)

I started off at 49 inches in my waist, and 48 inches in my chest.

I'm down to 45.5inches, and 44.5 inches in my chest. Is that normal, or am I just losing fat in other places?

I don't notice much of a change in my body...
Is this normal? I'm just curious, because I don't want to be losing some serious muscle mass...

I'm sure you're not losing serious muscle. It's tough to answer your question but if you have a good bit of fat in those areas, it's reasonable to believe the losses are mostly fat.

Are you weight training?

Are you eatinig enough protein?

I'm not as much as weight training then I am just doing strength exercises. I'm not doing alot of strength training, and I could up-it a little more.

I think my protein is lacking a bit, and so is my caloric intake, because we don't really even have anything in our pantry at the moment.

What's the difference between weight training and "doing strength exercises"?

Well the more agressive the deficit, the more important it is to institute muscle-preserving measures such as lifting weights and eating protein.

That is if you're interested in preserving muscle, which seems to be the case... as should be.
