Is This Chart Accurate?

Yesterday on the treadmill I walked at 3mph for an hour. Approximately 30-45 minutes I was at a 6% incline. The lowest incline (not including the warm up or cool down) was at a 4% incline. If I were to do a full hour at a 6% incline, this site... ( ) says I should be burning approx 1,000-1,150 calories, but according to my treadmill it's only coming out to about 500 calories. Which number is right? I'm at 216.8lb right now and 5' tall. I'm a 32 year old female.

It can depend. Does your treadmill take into account your current weight, rate of walking, age, and gender?

I'm with Cory on rate of walking. I've spent an hour on the stationary bike before and burned 1200 calories. But it takes into account how fast I'm going, my personal information (height, weight), my heart rate, and the power/wattage I'm going at. I spent an hour on it this morning, going more leisurely, but the same exact workout and only burned a little over 600. So it can vary just off that one aspect.
