So I've recently been into making smoothies for breakfast. I've gotten a little creative with it and have added Chobani Greek Yogurt because it is high in protein for a yogurt (14g)

Egg Whites (1/4 Cup)

Chobani low fat fruit yogurt (about 140-160 cals, 19g sugar)

1 Banana

Sometimes I'll add more fruit as well. I don't use Whey or Soy because I have heard some bad things about Soy and have always associated Whey with bodybuilders. :p

Is this smoothie/shake actually good for me in the mornings? I have heard that too much sugar in the morning is bad for weight loss. Are there any other ingredients I should add/remove to make it healthier for weight loss purposes?

THANKS!

Athe downside with shakes, is that they are all liquid and will be digested quickly, which means you will be hungry a lot sooner than solid foods.

You want to avoid high sugar, in general, but if it's balanced with carbs and protein, than it doesn't matter. It's not really my area of expertise, but I think having high sugar in the morning can cause insulin spikes ... but don't quote me.
