Hi all, my physician is telling me to take 3 cups of black coffee every day as it is a good fat burner but the thing is I don't like coffee. So any good alternative? What about green tea?

Caffeine is a double edged sword, yes it improves fat loss through increased metabolism however, it also contributes to dehydration and if you are sensitive to it, will cause jitters sleeping problems , It raises heart rate and blood pressure which can be a problem for some.

there is roughly 35 mg of Caffeine in green tea while a coffee depending on how strong it is has between 95-165 mg

Sure, there are lots of low cal options with caffeine, as Trusylver says tea is a good one, and there are all the diet soft drinks, Coke, Mountain Dew, ect.

But do you really need caffeine? I have been caffeine addicted for many years, sometimes I wish I wasn't. If I got to start over I think I would try life without. That said caffeine addiction is probably the least harmful addiction you can have, some even claim its good for you.

Yeah that's the problem. You get addicted, and without caffeine I feel exhausted. Did you said, diet soft drinks? Are they good somehow?
