Every time I pick up a recommended book it gets way to deep into the chemical compounds of nutrition and way to technical as it applies to diet.

Is there a book for someone who is not a nutritionist and not trying to be one?

This isn't a book, but a really good article on nutrition that I refer to often: http://body-improvements.com/resources/eat/

Is that what you were looking for or something else? Books that I recommend often are the GI (Glycemic Index) Diet books by Rick Gallop.... I wish they didn't have the word "diet" in the title, but I guess it reaches more people that way...

I download an app, it can tell everything. Eat&Health, you can get it in appstore. It is really useful. wish can help you.

This actually was part of a book project I was working on. It was in its early stages when I decided to bag the project for a variety of reasons. At that point, I felt the outline that was on paper about nutrition was good enough to launch on the website for free. Doesn't really matter... but to the OP... the point is that link is more than your traditional Internet article. Hope it helps and please let me know if you have any specific questions.

Steve, I didn't know that it was originally intended to be a book. Well, hopefully you're gaining some benefit from all of the work that you put into it. And thanks for posting it for free.. it's hard to find good quality references out there.

Thank you I shall check all of this out
