Hi people,
Please help me filling this survey. It's about boredom at gyms, and I need it as an introduction for a study.
I'll appreciate your comments too.
Thanks. Peter

I think there are many reasons people stop going to the gym. Boredom is just one of them.

I think not seeing instant results is the primary reason many people don't continue going. It isn't part of their lifestyle, so it's difficult for them to "fit it in to their schedule".

And a lot of people just don't have a plan, so they're pretty much doomed to fail.

I workout at home by myself, and im never bored. I pump the tunes and forget about everyting else. I think people stop going to the gym cuz they're lazy.

I've been getting into the boredom stage lately..I think it's mainly because I need to change up my routine (change it up, something) but it's not something significant as to contemplate me leaving or stop working out (gasp!).

Haha, im good! Been a bit naughty and enjoying myself rather than eating right which isnt good!

How you doing?

And a little sheep shaving here and there ;)

naughty you say? have you been doing the nasty with pigeons? speaking of, go to the thread gotfit made about you...

i'm sitting on my arse for a few min. then will get started with my day...weekendsssssss!!

Boredom, eh, it happens, but if you're looking for the main reason I leave the gym (the school one or the town one here) its awkwardness o_O I find that with very little exception, the women are all on the elliptical machines, the men are all in the weight section - so when I go in to the weigh section all these dudes kind of look at me funny... and they aren't subtle about it. So my options are to get stared at by big sweaty men the whole time I'm at the gym, or to sneak away pretty much. When my fiance is here and we go together its a lot more comfortable for me - the guys don't stare at me so much when I'm with him. Either because its more acceptable for girls to do weights with perceived male supervision, or because they're afraid he'll hit them? LOL. So yeah, I just go less without him here. Or I go at off hours when there's less people around.
