Sport is soya milk better?

Sport Fitness
a recent research suggests that milk proteins are sticky and not so well absorbed by the body

In relation to cows milks soy milk offers better nutritional value

what do you recomend

also what fruits are best eaten after a workout?

currently i eat two bananas before and after workout apart from my normal diet

Cows milk is made up of both fast absorbing and slow absorbing proteins. The slow absorbing one that you are talking about it called casien. That protein is especially good before bed as it is a slow release.

Soy protein contains plant proteins, though i am not sure how fast or slow they are digested i do know that some people have soy protein because they cant tolerate whey. I have soy milk because it has no lactose, which i can't handle.

Bananas are good pre and post workout. I would suggest you keep having them and just have a protein shake with it post workout. Even better, blend you banana up with your shake.

Those proteins are Whey which is the most complete and complex protein in the world and casin which is one of the slowest proteins. I have never heard the quality of the protein in cows milk being questioned but I have heard about the parasites that live in milk and the effects of lactose(the sugar in milk). Think of cows as large, fat, inactive, unhealthy women. And you are drinking their milk. The argument has been posed dozens of times as to why we don't drink from leaner healthier animals and I think it is just that the dairy situation is to well founded to change(and they like pissing off the Hindus)
I drink lots of milk and typically reccommend it to others.

As for soy milk- soy is towards the bottom of the pit as far as protein quality however it is a cleaner food source and lactose free. It will not upset your stomache so you can drink it immediately before a workout without complications. Be aware also that a lot of soy in your diet can increase your estrogen which promotes fat gain. I don't want to say that one is better than the other except that goat milk is way better than cows milk.
I drink cows milk. It is cheaper, more accessable, tastes better in my oatmeal/cerial and is a better protein source. I drink Goat milk on occation but it is really pricey. Your call

Thanx. No you can drink milk after your workout, i would just recommend mixing that milk with some protein powder, after a workout, just milk is not enough, your muscles need more.

Just a question, i drink soy milk for breakfast and about 5 oz. post workout w/ a shake, is that enough to increase my estrogen enough for weight gain?

Thanx

soy milk always comes flavoured
is it so bitter or do i have look around for the non flavoured one

Thats something I would like to know as well. I've been drinking vanilla flavored Soy Milk. I can handle any kind of milk out there.. what other people find nasty, watery, and just flat out gross.. I think it takes all the same, but I have liked Soy Milk alot more than the fat free milk. Does it matter about the flavor additives, unless there artificial?
