Sport Is Lamb ok?

I've got someone offering to give me some BBQ lamb. It sounds really good. I think he said it was a shoulder cut. Is it better than beef/steak or do you think it's just as bad for you (with the sat fat).

I don't know the nutritional value of lamb meat, but it's meat. The BBQ sauce is probably going to be the most detrimental of the two.

Yeah the shoulder cut of lamb is med level in the sat fat area. While its not the worst thing to eat its not the best either. If cooked with the average bbq western style sauce then its safe to say that it would be pretty high in simple sugar carbs as well. One of each on there own not great but wouldn't be to bad, both combined not the best combo.

Sorry, I should've specified more.

He's not using any sauce. Just paprika and a few other seasonings. I wouldn't dream of touching anything with BBQ sauce.

theleip - Yea, I was worried about the saturated fat. Someone gave me a link and I was suprised to find out that it has more fat than beef!
