Is it wrong that I think about training too much?

Like, seriously all the time. It's the first thing on my mind, when i go to sleep, and through most of the day. is this honestly normal or do i have, lets say, an issue?

thanks.

I'm curious, what IS your training?

Weightlifting sessions 4 times a week. Currently I do 45 minute X-repped sessions alternating between upper body and legs/core. (i.e. Monday - Upper, Tuesday - core/legs, Wed - rest, Thursday - Upper, Friday - legs/core, sat/sun - rest).

I just find it really hard to stop thinking about it

Well, it doesn't seem like you overtrain. The concern would be whether or not if it effects other areas of life negatively. Is it costing a lot of sleep?

It's not costing me any sleep at all, I sleep for 8 hrs + every night without any issues. When i'm at work I do my job without any problems, I just think about training a lot. Same with college really.

As long as your training isn't causing you any problems there shouldn't be any need to change your training regim. There isn't anything wrong with thinking about training, ey? :) As long as you don't get hysterical about it I think you're on the right track.

Its all good dude. I, myself have frequent thoughts throughout my day about martial art techniques :D and constantly have an urge to play with moves outside my training(when no one is looking:)). We're lucky in the sense that we have that pleasure impulse geared toward our source of exercise.

I guess you're both right really looking back on it now! And yeah, i guess its brilliant that I love to do this stuff other than say, eating mcdonalds all day lmao. thanks for your help both of you!

Haha I think it's a far healthier habit than not thinking about exercise ever :)

As long as you're putting those thoughts into actions it's a good thing!!
