Is It True To Say....

Alright every1 i'm close to 6' and i'm 17 yrs old and i'm also 164 pounds...i have a strong muscular back....pretty good chest....and great arms. I have realized that when i cough or just am sweating i can see the 6 pack formation that i have with a small layer of fat covering...nothing big at all...people say it will take me time to lose that layer cuz i dont have a lot of fat to lose...i run at 645 in the morning 2 miles....and around 530 at nite 2 miles approximately 5 times a week and have a good diet with low calories....is it true that its harder for some1 with not a lot of fat such as myself to lose that weight

also i notice my up coming 6 pack in the mirror better than when i look directly down at my stomach...also i notice it better in the sun than in the shade...does the mirror make ur body look stronger....PLEASE HELP

i think ur overt training, running that much.
& ur body probably adapted to those long running sessions.

i'd suggest that you switch ur cardio to High intensity intervals.

HIIT , thus u would be sprinting at 80-100% of ur full potential for 30 seconds - 1 minutes , then taking a minute or two to jog/walk, then repeat. up to 30 minutes tops. or u can just do it for 10 minutes, up to you. i prefer 30 minutes of HIIT, very effective at burning off the fat.

2-3 times a week is sufficient as this is intense training, thus should be infrequent. all the cardio u ever need in addition to minimal muscle loss.

your 6pac will look better when lit from an angle rather than a surounding light.

Yeah its much harder to loose weight its you dont have much to loose cos your fighting against your body wanting to store fat for warmth.

If you want to loose the extra fat then you need to step your training up a notch. you shouldnt eat less if you run so much, but yu could try eatting more healthy foods. also you can try running 1mile as fast as you can. You'll burn more fat sprinting over a short distance than jogging over long distance.

Whoop

alright guys thanks now wat about the whole mirror thing is that just me thinking insane that i look different in the mirror lol

This probably belongs in body image, but, looking in the mirror and seeing yourself as everyone else sees you is very difficult. At the extreme a person with anorexia can weigh 80 pounds and "see" a fat person in the mirror! Try to find some more reliable method to measure your progress, like before and after photos, body fat measurements, tape measure, a trusted friends opinion, etc.

In the sun any "indents" tend to create a shadow and be emphasized. Some people actually apply dark makeup to indentations to make them look more "cut" or under their pecs to make the pecs appear thicker.

yea i guess i partially agree with how you are saying its hard to determine the way u look to urself and the way other ppl see you but i dont think of myself in the mirror as a bad way like when i look in the mirror i see decent cut abs and stuff but when i just look straight down on myself...idk it seems diffrent...or possibly i am just bein harder on myself

i think ur just being paranoid danny

if u really want to track ur progress. straight off the bat.

go to the local gym every 2 weeks and get a measurement of your bust/waist/arms/etc.

and a body fat % measurement & dont worry about how much you weigh. it varies from person to person.

yea true that could easily be true....and of course everything takes time...thank you
