Is it healthy to run/jog - for me ?

I'm 5'10" and 190lbs, I have decent leg muscles from a lot of walking but now that I'm trying to get into jogging and running - my heart and lungs can only take about 3 minutes before I have to take a break. Should I be running, or still on excercise bikes and walking yet ?
 
Why are you asking people on this forum if it is healthy for you to run/jog? Why aren't you asking your doctor?
