Sport is canola oil good or bad?

Sport Fitness
im pretty much an idiot about knowing if oils are good or bad for you; is this good or bad? can someone please list some oils that are good for you?

Olive Oil is the best. I use only Olive Oil, its full with good fats :)

Well, Olive oil is good yes. But it is not the best. We were actually having a good debate here the other day. As far as I am concerned it is still a toss up between flax and fish oil. Essentially, fish oil has more benefits from what I have read, but is also a staple source of EFA's.
Oh yeah.. and Canola is not a recommended source of fat.

Canola oil comes from a hybrid plant developed in Canada during the late 1960s - 1970s using traditional pedigree
hybrid propagation techniques (not genetically modified) involving black mustard, leaf mustard, and turnip rapeseed.
Many people argue its actual health benefits based upon it's 'manufactured nature. Just because it isn't saturated doesn't mean it's all that good for you.
It is marketed as though it is the next best thing when compared with olive oil etc.. I would consider sticking with more natural less processed oils, unless it's UDO's oil which is a collection of col pressed oils and will satisfy all of your EFA needs.

hmm thanks for the answers guys; how are you supposed to eat flax oil? Just eat a tbs of it?

a great way is to mix it in with your shakes. Just because the stuff is not exactly yummy. mixing it with other stuff makes it more palatable.
Make sure you get a good shot of it before bed with your protein too because it will slow the digestion.
