I eat exclusively wholemeal/wholegrain bread and its the fundamental part of my diet. I measure it out so I'm always within my calorie range. Though I heard somewhere that a low carb/high protein diet loses weight best, but then others stress that its the raw calories, not the type of calories you eat that causes you to lose weight. Can anyone provide clarification?
 
AYes a calorie is a calorie a regards losing weight, but not regarding health. High protein makes you feel fuller.
 
I agree, it's all about calorie deficit. Bread isn't bad, i eat it daily, it just contain alot of calorie per serving. Wheat bread is also good for the fiber content wich is needed for a good diet. Just try not to eat too much of it, take in moderation like everything else ;)
