Hi All!
My name is Crystal and I just joined - Like 2 seconds ago lol.
I'm new here, but not new to weight loss. About 8 years ago now I lost a substantial amount of weight. I didn't have much trouble maintaining the majority of my weight loss until very recently. I've just found in the last week I'm really struggling with the change in my body composition over the last few months. I'm extremely passionate about fitness, but about a year ago moved to an area that is much less pedestrian friendly and with covid-19 I've been much more limited than any other time in my life in terms of access to weights and a regular gym routine. My job has also primarily switched to a WFH situation, so in general I'm struggling to get enough activity in to justify my calorie intake.

I have reached a pretty severe breaking point. I'm too nervous to weigh myself, so I'm not totally sure what I've gained, but my measurements are over all 2 inches larger than at my peak level of fitness and comfortable weight. I'm still able to fit my clothing, but it fits noticeably different and I'm just not as comfortable as I used to be.

Today is a little bit of a rough day for me, so maybe that's why I felt so motivated to look for a forum. I think I just need the structure to keep myself accountable.
Anyway, I'm hoping to connect with everyone and make this a regular spot for myself. Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Welcome to the forum.
You have been really wise confronting this while your favourite clothes still fit.

The scale is just a number - you have lost weight before and know about being active and eating healthily. Even if you do not weigh yourself today - you could adopt one of those healthy behaviours that served you well in the past.

Hi Crystal and welcome! Omega is right: starting now may be hard but it's a lot easier than starting once you've gone up a size or two. Covid sucks, no doubt about, but you're a weightloss pro and you can do this.

Hi, Crystal & welcome to the forum. It's great that you have pulled yourself up before you needed new clothes. What you eat is more crucial with weight-loss, so if you concentrate on that until you are able to get out & about more you'll soon nip this in the bud.

Dear! I am pleased to announce to you that I can offer you helps and guidelines

..., so in general I'm struggling to get enough activity in to justify my calorie intake. ...

if i had to sum up a effective diet in one sentence, you nailed it.
for me exercise is only a diet adjunct... i never count on it for weight control.

Totally agree! For quite a few years my activity levels were just super high, so I didn't really need to be as strict as I previously had been when I first lost weight. I'm fortunate that I do actually like the structure of calorie counting, so I'm thinking it won't be too challenging to get back in that head space.

Hello. I'm Gloria. And I have been struggling with excess weight since the teenage period. I started having problems with being overweight in childhood. Parents did not care and for this they did not show me to the doctors. Now I weigh 101 kilograms and I am 156 centimeters tall

Can you tell us a little about what you´ve tried to keep control of your weight so far? I saw you said you´ll often lose motivation after a couple of months and then regain the weight. Do you think maybe the programs you use are too strict to stick to long-term?
