Intro with Question For Someone Smarter Than Me

I'm 29 years old, married, kids, work in an office & out of nowhere I have started gaining weight. Not really in pounds but I have been wearing the same size pants since I have been 15 & now nothing fits.

It seems to be all in my waist. I don't really undertsand it, I haven't touched fast food in over 4 yrs now, I eat only healthy foods, only drink water, no snacks or junk food @ all.

The only thing that I can think of that has changed is that I don't find the time in the day anymore for lunch or breakfast. Ususally I'll throw down a smoothie in the afternoon & then have a normal sized dinner. Could this be my problem? I have no idea whatelse it could be unless it's just a lack of exersize from being stuck in an office all day, age or what.

Any suggestions?

Not good

Well I will keep this brief. You need to eat more. You cannot survive NOT eating til mid afternoon or so. And then you only have dinner later in the day. Yikes !! Your body is probably in starvation mode. It is storing fat and burning your muscle for energy. Not good. Eat at least 5 smaller healthy meals a day, starting with breakfast. I'll let others on this forum help out more, but definitely you have to eat more everyday !!!!

Question

Ok, that would make sense since nothing has really changed in my diet yet the weight is stacking up. Never really thought it worked that way.

As we get older our metabolism slows down. If you do things that enhance your metabolism, you can keep it higher, and maintain or lose weight. If you do nothing, or things that slow down the metabolism, you will gain.

You are doing the latter. Skipping meals will lead to weight gain. Lack of activity will lead to weight gain. The answer is relatively simple....execution can be a problem.
