Interactions with Prescription Meds

I have been weight training for the past year, but only in the past 2 weeks have I been taking it very seriously. I have just expanded my supplement intake, I am curious if this may interact with my prescription medication.

Supplements I take:
Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey
EAS Creatine Plus
Centrum Performance MultiVit
Universal NOx3

The Prescription I take is called Concerta, it is a form of ritilan that aids in ADD.

I have read that with NO supplements you can't use ephedra or caffeine because it reduces its effect. I thought this may apply to all stimulants so I am concerned about Concertas effect. I don't need to take my prescription now that school is over, but I do like to use it now on then when I have the urge.

I know, many of you think any NO is a waste of money and does nothing. You probably are right. Three of my friends came up to me, all of whom don't know each other, and raved about NO. One of them is in the merchant marines and knows a good deal about weight training and had great things to say. So, I figure I try it out... if I don't like it I am sure they'll buy my bottle off of me.

Anyways, you think Concerta will negate the effects of NO?
 
By no means am I doctor, but I don't think it will interfere. I take a multi-vitamin, 5 grams of creatine (and protein sometimes) and also have to take ADD meds sometimes (focalin, similar to ritalin also).

BUT, I don't and won't take any NO stuff, so I don't have any input there. The meds are a stimulant, as I'm sure you know, and I don't see any foreseeable reason why the whey and multivitamin would interfere. There are some studies that the effects of creatine are lessened by caffeine, which is a stimulant as well - but not the same as the meds obviously.

I think you should just ask your doctor, especially about the concerta concerns.
 
well I did the right thing and asked the maker of NOx3. I thought some people out there might want to know what they said:

Thanks for the inquiries, in regards to the NOX3, this product actually can be used along with stimulants, caffeine is fine and concerta, has never been shown to interfere with NO boosters... the only one you should avoid is the ephedra which can interfere with NO production.

Yeah, I would think pure NO products would be ok, because its just arganine or a derivative. Now something like NO Explode would be bad cuz it contains caffine, and that may not play nicely with ritalin.
