inside or out

Why does it feel like its so much harder to run on a track indoors than outside? Is there a real reason or is it just all in my head?

Because its insanely boring. Atleast that is the reason for me.

Same here, when I was in high school I ran the track (the 3200) and cross crountry and I could run so much better out side on the trails.

I can't run indoors (on treadmills). I'll be in there and bairly able to run three miles, but outside I can run six no problem.

Running inside is boring. At least outside there is a change of scenery instead of the big fat hairy guy stretching out his thighs in front of you.

Plus it gets too damn hot inside.
