Sport Inquiry about nutrition and gaining weight

Hi, my name is Josh and I am soon to be 20 years old. When it comes to fitness, most people are looking for answers as to how to lose weight. My problem is the opposite. I have been approximately 130-150 pounds throughout my high school and early college career. 150 is being generous too, when I was at my heaviest.

I would blame a super productive metabolism if I had to say so. I do have lean muscle, like I've worked manually all my life, so what I do have is muscle. I'm not entirely out of shape but no matter what I eat or don't eat, I can never seem to gain additional weight to turn into muscle.

Recently, I've decided to join law enforcement. I plan to go to cop school in the coming year and I need to find a way to add some pounds to my frame. If it makes any difference, I'm tall (right around 6 foot). Once the warm weather comes, I want to dedicate myself to this, nutrition and training. Any and all comments and advice would be welcomed.
