Income taxes..

So yeah, this is the first time ive filled taxes using Turbo Tax. I think its great, easy to use and you don't get anally penatrated by a tax place. Obviously its not for everybody, im single, no kids and my taxes are straight forward.

Point being, I have everything ready, all papers signed. If I send it in now, will I get my refund soon? Or is there a designated time when the government sends those out?

Ive got about $1000 coming back and I need to know when to expect it.

With direct deposit you should receive within two weeks. If you opt for check, its much longer.

I am currently in Law School but am leaning towards Tax work as my permanent profession

I am part of VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assos.) that help people do their taxes 3 times a week up until the day they are due.

I recommend TurboTax for most everyone except when you have a LOT of family kids, grandkids, ext....your situation seems perfect.

Like Tony has said, if you do direct deposit, it will take slightly less than a month, imo.
