In need of some Protien tips

Ok of course im not a new jack on this thing but im still learning..I actually have my before and afta shots up in that forum..

but anyway. now its time for me to push for more cut/ definition so. Do I raise the intake on my protien to see these results, because i already dropped on the weights and Im pusshin more reps, so do I start eating way more protien then normal?

I dont wanna get to bulk like a man but i do want some serious definition in my arms and all around body. any suggestions for me.

Example: for lunch today I ate

3 hard boiled egg whites
6 oz of baked salmon
2 oz of chicken breast
1 1/2 cup of lettuce

and for my mid noon snak im gonna have a soy protien bar.2.2 oz / 25g protien.

Fox ...you don't have to do lighter weights. more reps to get defined. Keep your reps at 8-12 and focus more on your diet, that is where the definition lies :) Yes, add more protein to your diet, drop your carbs some. Eat good fats. I think a ratio of 40 % protein, 30% carbs, 30% fats (good) will work for ya. I mean it is trial and error, but I feel those ratios would be a good starting point. Maybe others could chip in as well. This is JMO :) Good luck with your goals, you're doing wonderful thus far.

Thanx Jpc so much for that info. Im doing good with the protien. its workin pretty ok. Im just gonna keep doin what you suggested I do since thats what I been doing and yes I totally cut the harsh carbs out my diet especially during the evening. if I do have any carb at nite it will be a banana or apple.

If you are trying to tone up, I would not change much with your weight training program. Are you doing cardio.....this is vital once you are ready to cut.

With your nutrition, for some they need to cut out carbs. For me, it is as easy as making sure I am in a calorie deficit and adding more cardio to my routine.

My concern with your nutrition is this; make sure you are not cutting carbs completely. The meal that you provided us had none. Cutting carbs completely is not the idea. They are not evil and no matter what, bulking or cutting, they hold an important place in your eating program.

I would make sure you are in a calorie deficit and track your bodyfat and progress every two weeks or so. Start out with 40/35/25, C/P/F. If you are sure that you are in the deficit, and are training properly, yet see no results, play with the nutrients. Maybe you are sensitive to carbs and cut them down a bit. If this is the case, be sure to add more protein into the diet so you do not create too large of a calorie deficit.

Trial and error is all it takes to find what it takes for your body to shed the bodyfat. In the end, that is all "cutting" really is, shedding that last bit of fat.

Good luck!
