Importance of Supplements

Crappy title: I really meant to put something like... Order of importance in terms of supplements.

I just started using creatine to boost my workouts. I went and looked at the creatine in GNC to see if I could get some information out of the sales people without buying anything. The guy told me that the order of importance in supplements would have to be: Creatine 1st, a NO booster second, and then on to things like leucine/glycine, etc.

What are your opinions in terms of supplement importance? I mean, should my next step be a nitrix oxide supplement? Note that I'm already taking creatine monohydrate.

It sounds like you're trying to bulk. What are your goals with the supplement program?

Didn't think of mentioning a bulking phase. Yes, I'm currently bulking. I'm taking in nearly 150+ grams of protein per day and keeping up with my healthy fats and carbs. I'm just wondering what people think is the next step after starting with creatine. Jeez, keep forgetting things. I want to gain a good bit of muscle bumping my weight up from a lean 165 at 6'2". I'm looking to go up to at least 180-185 before I start looking to cut.

The opinions here will differ greatly.

I've found Muscle Milk to be pretty damned effective stuff as far as building muscle. It's also helped me cut some weight off as well, so added bonus!

Whey is always good for bulk... some people will tell you to load on carbs and protein then go hit the iron. It's an oldschool solution but it works.

Oh, and a fast way to really put on the weight are 20x Squats.

BCAA's is the most important in my book, you should up your protein. I am a 5'8 136 lb female and I take in more protien than you do. :)

I stick to 2 supplements mostly:

#1 WHEY PROTEIN

#2 Multivatimen

#3 Creatine (only when I am bulking or lifting heavy, I usually skip it while cutting phase)

Most Important

I recommend taking supplements in this order of importance.

1. Protein/Carbs (Carbs immediatly after a workout to create an insulin spike and assist with the delivery of protein)
2. A good No2 with NO CAFFEINE! (Cycle 6 weeks on 4 weeks off)
3. Rest and recovery!

Thats all you need!
Good proteins will have enough BCAA's and glutamine and so forth.

If you are taking a good NO2 then you will not need more creatine.
The best creatine is a tri creatine malate. No loading is required, and it does not require you to take with a sugary carb based drink.

Hope this was helpfull.
