Hey, whats up all. Ive been on this forum for a while, but never posted. Alright here is my predicament.
Ive been throwing for about 4 years now and many people constitute throwers as being big, heavy monsters. Well, not me. I am a Javelin/ Discus thrower. Semi big, cut and fast.
Well, in highschool and in Junior College, we really didnt have a weightlifting program so I did my own thing.
I put up pretty good lifting numbers, the bench, squat, deadlift, clean, snatch etc.. but with a toll on my body. Ive eaten like a mad man. Although my numbers were high, I wasnt happy with the body, and Im still not.
Well, sorry for the story, heres the deal.
Im going to be throwing for a big university next fall, and I need some help. I plan on training myself for a month or so before I head out to a pro training facilty.
Heres the deal, I need mass (as in muscle) and I want to gain nice abs, hips, lower back etc....
What should I eat to still put mass on, while keeping fat off.
I know I need to run, but how much to still keep mass?
