My name is Jacob and I'm an 18 year old college student. Currently 6ft and 235lb. I have been on and off trying to lose weight my whole teen/adult life but I can never seem to lose any weight. Ive worked out every day for 3 weeks straight which included running for 45min, and lifting for an hour every other day. I try to eat healthy but have a limited budget and could really help finding some low cost healthy meals. I've never been able to lose more than 5lb and its so hard to stay motivated because of it :/ . What am I doing wrong?

With that much exercise it must be nutrition

Make sure you are counting your calories accurately. I used to just estimate mine at the end of the day and I was away off. Now I measure everything and read every label

I have started calorie counting and cutting out pop. Have lost 3 pounds in 4 days

Make sure you add the calories from the sodas too. They can have as much in them as a meal.

Keep in mind that condiments such as salt and soy sauce can make you retain water, thus increasing your "weight".

Try to get your weight wearing nothing, at the beginning of the day right when you wake up ( and after you use the bathroom) That way you are not comparing your weight from different times of day, after you have eaten. Hope it helps! Looking forward to hearing how your story goes!
