Hello everyone. I thought I had better introduce myself. My name is Aaron, I will be 35 next month. Ive been battling my weight for most of my adult life, but especially these last couple of years. Ive basically become the poster boy for couch potatoes LOL. HORRIBLE diet (pizza and fast food), no excersize, I started smoking, and NO WILL POWER AT ALL.

So recently I decided I cant keep going down this road. My girlfriend really wants me to stop smoking because of the health risks, my father has had 2 major heart attacks and is now on disability, my back is ALWAYS hurting because of this extra weight (old back injury). Its just time.

So about a week and half ago I started my journey to being a better me. In the last 4 days Ive had 4 cigarettes (usually Id easily smoke a pack in that time), Im down 3lbs and 2 1/2 inches from my waist! I downloaded an app to my phone to remind me to drink water and that is going pretty well. So so far so good!

Staying motivated has always been my downfall. Working through the plateaus....so that is why I am here!

I've been there and done that, my friend. Pizza was my thing as well, haha. But you've started to make a change and that is half the battle. That's great you're started to see results and now you're fired up. Keep doing what you're doing. It's a long journey, but it doesn't have to be agonizing. It's for a better you and a better overall quality of life. Feel free to start a journal up in the diary section. I get a ton of inspiration and help from those people. Helps you stay motivated and the positive energy can't help but transcend from the forums and into your own life. You're on the right path and soon you'll be where you like. A matter of when, not if! Welcome to the forum.
