hello everyone. this is my firstime to be in this forum. im 19 years old. i hope you can help me with my weigh. i weigh 240. and my friends teases me and my famly teases me. some times i feel so alone. sometimes i dont wanna go out of my room. i hope i find friends in here. i'm looking forward. i hope you can help me lose some weight. and i hope to improve my self. please help me. i have no idea of what programs to use. i dont know a lot of terms. hope you can guide me.

Hey! I just turned 20 a week ago, and like you my starting weight was 240lbs. I've been dieting and exercising and am down 10 lbs. So good luck. Everyone here will definately be of support and love. We're just one big weight losing family! :)
 
Hi ashzqo Welcome to the forum im sure you will find every one here is very supportive and helpful. Im so sorry that every one who should support you teases you it sure doesn’t help with the weight loss journey. It sounds like your not quiet sure were to start? My best suggestion is to go to your doctor and ask what would be there suggestion or look around on line and research what you think would be best for you.
 
welcome...find your way to the diary section and start writing down what you eat,..what your goals are and ask any questions that you have. People here are very supportive,..you not alone on your weightloss journey. Ridicule for your weight is cruel,..just know you are a valuable and wonderful person.
 
First of all, you shouldn't even listen to your friends. As for your family, they should know that you're the same person whether you are 100 pounds or 500 pounds. Be proud of yourself and what you can do. Don't lose weight because other people tease you. Lose weight because you want to look beautiful, feel wonderful, and do something good for your own body. I totally agree with Matty.. You shouldnt listen to your friends and i cant believe your family would even say things like that to you, im sure they wouldnt like it you mention anything mean about them and usual they tease people because it makes them feel better about themselves (which is pothetic) .. I also believe you have to do it for yourself, Think to yourself that you can do it and strive for little goals first because if you think of how much weight you want to loose you might think that you will never get there, so start off with a little first, You can do it.... We are all here to help you. You have made the first step so CONGRATULATIONS.. I have lost some weight and all i have started doing is drinking alot of water and walking, I hope this is of some help to you
 
thanks for the warm welcome. thanks to all of you... thanks for being friendly. when I was young I was really very thin, then my mother, i dont know she had made me an experiment (thats how i look at it) whe gave me this diff. vitamins for me to gain weight. now i cant stop gaining. its like every year i get bigger ng bigger. now im 240 lbs. and i want to reverse what happen to me and start losign weight.... thanks to all of your kindness... btw im from the philippines... hope you can help me... our family doctor only said that I should lessen the food i eat. but i've already been doing that... still its no work. hope you can help me. where do I start? im really clueless... :confused: does taebo works?

Welcome! I love Tae Bo tapes. They are fun and burn a lot of cals! I think you just have to figure out how many cals you need to lose weight, your doctor might be should be able to help you with that or some research online should give you some insight. A lot of water is definitely helpful and also keeping track of what you eat during the day. Hopefully you can find a plan that works for you! GOOD LUCK. :)
 
Hi and congratulations on finding this forum and good luck on your weight loss journey. I find that this place has helped me immensely!!! As far as the information you need, I just read everything on here and did research on the net. It really is pretty easy to find the information. Some helpful websites that I use are:

I love Tae Bo also! I recommend them. You can get them at your appropriate level, they're fun, and they give you a good work out. (It's increased my balance too!)

Losing weight can be easy, or it can be difficult. Its as simple as taking in less calories than you burn off. Now, the hard part is doing that for an extended period of time while maintaining a social life and not being hungry.
 
wow the last time i posted was march 2006, and i havent visit the site... my PC crashed for long and i forgot to visit. im sorry...
well i have a good news... im now 180lbs...
 
Ashzqo, congrats on the weight loss so far. who did you do it so far? I would also like to also say, that "your friends" dont sound like true friends to me if they tease you. A BIG factor in assisting with weight loss is to surround yourself with positive people!!! I cannot stress this enough.. it will not only help you achieve your goals, but it will also assist you to feel good aboout yourself on the inside too!
 
i dont know, i dont care about what they say regarding that issue anymore... now their all suprise that i can do it.
they now shut up and gives me a lot of support. all i need to do is to show them that... i can do this. just so i could get their support.
and some of them are jelous of my diciplin.
im more focus on my goal, when someone is terorizing me hehe... i just say to my self... you'll see...
