Im new!!! looking for diet evaluation

Hello everybody i am new to this site and just wanted to share my diet plan and workout routine that i kind of built up in my head after reading thru all of the threads and posts.

I'm 5'11 about 204. my goal currently is to drop down to 170-175. My eating habits are pretty terrible right now i just eat whenever im hungry and usually just eat whatever is around or am craving. anywhere from fast food to subway... to just making some eggs, nothing strict. I have attepmted countless times of wieghtloss, and almost all the old diets ive tried involved me doing the whole starving and fasting thing which i have come to discover is one of the worst things you can do when striving to lose wieght.

People told me that you should eat more...eat like 6 meals a day but i always thought that it would just make me bigger and not help me in my journey to lose weight. In highschool i used to play 3 sports and was extremely active and very in shape.. i want to get back to what i was and have a good looking body.

So enough about me... i have created somewhat of a "rough draft" of dieting and exercise and would love to have input and suggestions from experienced and knowledgable people. Here it is!!! don't be to harsh.


(6 30am)Breakfast - 2 slices of wheat toast, 2eggs, 1glass milk, 1/2 cup cottage cheese.

(8 30am)Mid morning snack - 2 pieces of fruit (apple,orange,pear,kiwi,peach,grapefruit)

Lunch (11 30am) - 3egg whites, 1cup tuna

After lunch snack (3pm) - 2 pieces of fruit

Dinner (7pm) - 1oz grilled chicken breast, green salad, broccolli, carrots.

(10pm)Snack - cottage cheese, glass of milk.


That is my diet, i know it needs work and i would love some inputs.

For exercise i usually do -

45mins nonstop cardio on treadmill
push ups, sit ups

About 5-6 days a week

with some free weights included every other day.

I havn't had this strict of a plan yet and have not tried following it yet, i have this outline and plan on starting tommrow. If you have any suggestions or input please don't hesitate.
