Sport I'm Fat! Help!

Sport Fitness
Well, I am finally doing somthing about my health. My first move was to severly cut back on drinking (I was the definition of DRUNK) and now I've moved to not drinking at all.

I have been going to the gym about twice a week, and riding the bike for ~20-30 minutes and doing some basic leg exercises (I broke my Femur, this is part of my rehab) I think I am ready to kick it up another notch.

Since this is the nutrition thread, Here is my eating habits:

Breakfast: I have some sort of breakfast bar (the nutrigrain ones) or a bowl of oats with plain ol yogurt.

Lunch: Turkey and Cheddar wrapped in a tortillia

Dinner: See Lunch, possibly add Mac and Cheese.

I really don't "snack" cause I am at work all day long, all I do there is drink ALOT of water. When I get home, I eat dinner. When I do snack (on days off) its always on somthing terrible like Doritos or Cheetos. Guess I am lookin for some help. I have a 1 hour lunch break and maybe 15 minutes of travel time, so I have time to MAKE somthing for lunch, the above is just easy.

HELP!

Sounds like you have come a long way! Good job! Sounds to me like you need some home cooked meals. I could give advice on what healthy food is. But all of it needs to be cooked. You need fresh vegetables and real meat. Fish or chicken. Do you cook?

Have you tried swimming? My Mum isn't exactly 'fat' but she is overweight, and it has worked wonders for her over the last year or so. She went from not being able to swim around a year ago, to do 40+ lengths in an hour. Not only is it an excellent calorie burner, but it works most of the muscles in your body, improving your flexibility as well. Also, standing in the pool will take a lot of pressure off your leg, aiding your femur rehab! ;-)
...Just a suggestion!

Last night I made me specialty. Blacked Chicken Ceasar Salad. Course it was blackened cause I forgot it on the grill... So the whole thing tastes like charcol... I used to cook all the time when I lived at home with the rents, but that was like 8 years ago. I'm not a huge fan on fish, the smell just really really bugs me. Hook me up with the advice! God knows I need it! :D
