....When it comes to eating healthy.

Im currently cutting/bulking. I lift my weights and then do my cardio (ect.)
But i have no clue on what to eat.
I can eat only at the following times:

7AM-7:45 (then i have to go to school)
12PM-12:30 (my lunch)
5:20PM to whenever (I weight train at Highschool)

So its kinda hard to do the 300 cal - 6 meal thing. :(

LV posted a great grocery list here: - includes protein choices, carb choices, fruits and veggies, and even healthy fats!
 
did u just state that your bulking and cutting at same time? lol thats IMPOSSIBLE

you either bulk OR cut. make a decision

if you want to shed fat, either words, toning/definition = cutting

you have to eat a cutting meal plan, of a caloric deficit of about 300 calories less than what you would have to eat in a day to sustain your weight.

if you want to bulk, either words, grow muscle mass. You would have to eat a surplus of 300-400 calories a day.



Go to this site, find out what your daily caloric needs are to sustain your current weight, if you want to cut, minus 200-300 calories, if you want to bulk, add 300-400

the main point I'm telling you is, building muscle requires more nutrients / food, whereas cutting is shedding fat, basically keeping your original muscle intact, but getting rid of fat content in your body.
 
So, if i want to cut to get my muscles showing... what would i do at the gym? I go 5 times a week. :eek: (i dont work the same muscles 2 days in a row)

tell me what exercises you do, :] list them please and do on what days.
 
Ive talked to the weight trainer and I told him i wanted to bulk at the time.

He said to work these on different days:
Work my core
chest, bicep, tri (bench press- 3 sets till failure then wait 3 days till next one)
legs, maybe some others, like abs or my shoulders

I dont really have a defined work-out plan. I just work each muscle that i feel needs to be worked on. I dont overtrain any muscles. Oh, and i avoid machines.

then 10 minutes of Cardio.

The trainer said dont worry about cutting.:eek: :eek:

I guess instead of cutting right now, i will bulk and then cut later on.

I think your trainer should at least "give you a setout plan."
well, keep doing what your doing.

the main point you need to understand is

your food intake/diet is 80% of what your results will be. If your trainer suggests you bulk and gives you a few exercises to do, doesn't mean it will bulk you, YOU will only bulk if you eat the right amount of surplus calories a day. same goes for cutting. If you want to cut, eat the amount specified on the above posts.

Cardio will help you burn the calories, 10 minutes sounds fine, since your bulking.

If I were you, I'd go to your trainer and ask for a defined workout plan. seems like he's not doing his job right IMO, if you were my client. I'd give you a plan from the first day. or after evaluating your potential.
 
oh, lawl.

I didnt mean to say he was my trainer. He IS a trainer, but not mine. I just saw him in the gym and asked him how to bulk. I didnt pay him or anything he just sumed up what we had to do 3 times a week. Me and my friends just added 2 days extra.

EDIT: Oh can someone give me an example lunch for bulking? Highschool lunches are greasy and look high in fat.:eek:
