Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm using the name "Galactus" because when I'm hungry, I feel like I could eat THE PLANET.
Everyone has their excuses, but I guess excuses could be obstacles that one chooses to do nothing about. Here are my obstacles, and here's my plan to tackle them one by one:
(1) I don't get enough sleep. Running on four hours makes your day hard, much less going to the gym and running for 30 minutes on this amount of sleep. I know how important a full night's sleep is, especially for those who are trying to get back in shape. Sleep regenerates energy (duh), the immune system, rebalances chemicals (including hormones) that control your mood, skin health and appetite.
Solution: Get more sleep, and do so regularly. At the very least on weeknights.
(2) I don't have a lot of money. In fact, to put it more realistically, I'm broke. So that means I don't have a big budget for fancy diet or organic foods and aids.
Solution: Stick to the basics--cheap but nutriet rich veggies, meats, fruits, nuts. Take vitamins.
(3) My friends (and my roommate) eat what I wish I could. Unfortunately, I have friends that have the metabolisms of five-year-olds. So when they eat and I'm out of my healthy food, I pretty much have to eat what they have at the house. No. 2 above is what makes this the hardest.
Solution: ???
(4) I get discouraged a lot, because my goal seems so far away. I'm 5'1" and 190lbs. I don't look like it, I'd even guess someone my size was 160 at the most, but I am. I used to be 145. That is where I was happiest, and that is where I want to be. 45 lbs.
Solution: I joined this forum. I'm coming here to gather encouragement from other people that might be going through the same thing as me.
So thanks in advance for your help and encouragement. Good luck to all!
