I'm 12 and I need to lose weight.

I'm a 12 year old girl and I really need to lose weight! I am worrying about my weight and I would really like some tips on how to lose some weight, thanks x :)
 
Sweetpea, I know this will sound patronising but at 12 years old you are still growing. As you go through puberty your hips will grow, you'll get boobs, etc. A lot of weight at age 12 is just "puppy fat" that you'll lose naturally as you go through puberty. Can you tell us how tall you are and how much you weigh? If you are overweight then just start snacking on things like cucumber instead of chocolate but don't diet. Save that until you're older (like us oldies!!) and see how you look when your body has developed properly.
 
AExactly what Sunflower said! Your body is still going through a wacky phase.
Don't diet. Just eat healthy. If you start good habits now, your body will adjust as you get older.
Drink water. Tons. Don't drink a lot of fruit juice, and don't drink regular soda or koolaid!
Eat small portions, but don't starve yourself. Pig out on veggies and fruits, not candy and chips.
Fried food is okay once in a great while. If you eat fast food, get the smallest size possible.
Exercise! Walk everywhere. Take the stairs. Just keep moving.

Love yourself. I know it's hard at that age, but it's so important. Focus on developing an awesome personality, and things will fall in place. :)
