If I gave you these what would you do with them?
(What kind of sandwich would you make?)

Include:

Calories (optional).

Anything you like on your sandwich.

Oooh a food challenge. :)

First of all, I'd only use one slice of bread. I am partial to half sandwiches or open faced sandwiches. So .. here are my options:

Mix a packet of albacore tuna with a very tiny bit of mayo, some dijon mustard, some chopped garlic kosher pickles, some minced red onion, and sprinkle with some black pepper. Serve on a slice of bread with a leaf of butter lettuce and some tomato. (This is, coincidentally, what I had for lunch today.)

Otherwise, spread a serving of Naturally More Peanut Butter on a slice, add a tiny drizzle of honey, and a few banana slices. Fold over into a 1/2 sandwich.

Spread a thin layer of hummus over the bread, stack with sprouts, cucumber, tomato, red bell pepper slices, baby spinach leaves, and (if you're feeling decadent) a couple of slices of avocado.

Mash up about 1/4 to 1/3 of an avocado and spread that on the bread. Add a few very very thin slices of red onion, some sliced turkey or chicken breast, a couple of lettuce or spinach leaves, and a drizzle of red wine vinegar.

Toast the bread lightly and top with leftover turkey meatballs, sliced in half (or thirds). Top with some tomato sauce, and a little grated parm, and then run under the broiler of the toaster oven for about 30 seconds.

Hmmm ... I'm making myself hungry. I'm sure I have about another dozen options, but I'll spare you! :)

I guess i will be boring compared to Kara.

Left over sliced chicken breast, sliced onion, romaine, dill pickle slices, cheddar cheese and gouldens mustard.

OR

Toast them up and add Teddy peanut butter and a little grape jam.

Kara's post just made me really hungry! That guacamole-turkey wrap sounds perfect.

If it was a special day I would make my favorite version of a club: Turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, a little mayo, and slightly toasted sprouted grain bread. With a glass of skim milk and an apple that is a treat.

I've never even tried some of Kara's mentioned foods-but I still drooled.:drool5:

All of the mentioned sandwiches sound good. :drool5::drool5::drool5:

Hold them up to my face pretending they are a duck's bill and run around the neighborhood wearing only a cape and sandals reciting lines from Monty Python?

Oh, this is a food poll. That works too.
I'm simple, Turkey, cheese, and spicy mustard and grill it on the George Foreman.

3 tablespoons of all natural peanut butter (no hydrogenated oils)
sliced fresh strawberries and/or fresh blueberries - enough to cover the peanut butter

yum!

I've never ever thought about trying strawberries with peanut butter  I'll have to try!

@Bob- No playing with Food :biggrinjester:

@Fat Lazy Guy- That's like me LOL.

@ RunningGirl- I'm more curious as to what people are eating than anything else. Repeated posts are very welcomed. Eggs in the basket are neat, I've never seen that before!

Ah, I used to love eggs in a basket, although we called them egg glass windows :)

Now I'm thinking about a fried egg sarnie!

I just HAD to try that after she mentioned it. I read it around breakfast time, so you can guess what I had! I put a few grams of cheese on it too. Mmmmmm.

Another thing I love to do is boil eggs until they're just hard enough to slice (maybe 11 mins total?). While they're still piping hot, slice 2 of them and layer them on a piece of bread. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and a thin layer of mayo.

Mmmmm. Perfect on a rainy day like today.

Ooo, I like to do that too, but with softboiled eggs, yolk runny, the white set but not very firm, and then just mush it up on the piece of bread with a fork :D Salt and pepper, mmm!

Eggie in a basket! Cut a hole in the middle of the bread (with a shot glass or something) toast in a skillet with a little bit of butter or cooking spray. Crack an egg in the center of the holy-ed bread and cook until the egg yolk is slightly firm. Then eat or top with 1-2 tsp of preserves :)

(Just realize that had been posted...)

So maybe a little french toast action would be nice. Make a little egg wash: 2 eggs, vanilla soymilk, cinnamon, nutmeg. Soak the bread in the egg mixture and put into a skillet until golden brown. Serve with a little butter and some maple syrup *Nom Nom*

Otherwise Im just partial to a turkey sandwich. Turkey, Cheddar Cheese Slice, Light Mayo, Honey Mustard. Tomatoe, Lettuce, Red Onion.
