I was never good at introductions :)

Hello folks!

I’ll try to be brief and not go over my entire life story here, but no promises.

I’m 31, 6 feet tall, and weigh right around 250 (I’ll get my exact weight before I make one of those nifty little graphs that show the march towards the goal). I’ve been having major problems with my weight for the last…oh…4 years or so.

After I left the military in 99, I was at a nice and slim 190. I looked and felt good, but somehow the weight just kept packing on. I’d go on a diet for a few weeks, then quit in frustration. I don’t have much patience and tend to suffer from analysis paralysis (if any of you suffer from the same disease, please send me a message and let me know how you overcame it!), and would give up easily.

I guess it’d be the Ferris wheel almost everyone gets caught on. You know the story…

1. Get frustrated with current weight.
2. Determine that you will overcome this time, no matter what.
3. Go on diet, lose a bit of weight, and feel very happy.
4. Have something stressful happen in life, go on a binge.
5. Repeat

I’m really sick of this cycle. There are too many areas of my life it’s having a negative impact on.

1. Dating- I don’t even wanna approach women in my current condition! I’m already on the shy and introverted side, but this is really not helping.
2. Career- I’m working on a career in music (recording and performing artist), and while my weight doesn’t have a direct effect on my music, it does affect my confidence levels, and I’ll need every bit of confidence I have when I get up on stage and share my music with the world.
3. Energy levels-I want to sleep entirely too much. I feel sluggish and tired. I can sometimes sleep for 12 hours straight! I hope that losing weight will really boost the energy levels.

As far as a goal weight…whatever weight I have a 6 pack at :) I’m figuring between 180-190.

Thanks for reading folks, and I look forward to getting to know you!
