I want to run, but i shouldn't, please help

Hey guys,
To go ahead and fill everyone in, i'm 18. I'm 5'6, almost 5'7 hovering around 120 lbs. I have a hard time gaining weight, but i can tone pretty good like most can.
I have low body fat as is.

I want to start running, but i don't want to lose any weight. If anything, i would like to be up to 135, which is 15 lbs. Lately, i've been trying to eat better, drink mass gaining shakes, and exercise resistance. I started out at 111, and so far i've put on about 9 lbs. which isn't too bad in my opinion. I was really skinny from working all the time, and not having many breaks that i could stop and eat.

I'm concerned about my cardio, as it is heart health, and i always want to keep a healthy heart and cardiovascular system.

Can anyone please help me?

you can start with brisk walking and then running, but keep it limited to short distance, in this way you body weight will also not be affected too much and you will feel healthy also.

Have you ever looked into a "couch to 5K" program, or a walk/run program? It's a program the you can follow where you start with small bursts of running, alternating with walking intervals. Gradually, you increase the running time and decrease the walking time. Usually the aim by the end of the program is to be able to run about 30 minutes in a row, or 5K. Here's one example: Cool Running | The Couch-to-5K ® Running Plan and I assume there are apps out there for this as well!

Oh and great job on putting on the weight, just make sure you continue with regular resistance exercise.

Hi. I'm 5'7 and 110 and was concerned about weight loss too when I first started running. I think you'll find that as you run more and more you'll start to get more hungry. So as long as you're eating healthy and not ignoring the hunger signals, you shouldn't have a problem. If you start losing weight, just eat more. I've been running for over a year now, didn't really change my diet until recently, and actually gained 5 pounds over that time.

If you don't want to run then there are couple of good options for you i can suggest to you. Walking is the best exercise. Make a schedule for a day. If you have time then walk in the morning and in the afternoon or if you do not have time then walk only one time a day.

Jogging is another option you may consider. Make sure drink lots of water before jogging.

Cycling is now very popular all around the world both indoor and outdoor. It would also help you to get a proper shape of your leg. Try any one according to your choice.
