I need to lose 60 pounds . . .

I'm enlisting in the Navy, and I am currently 60 pounds over their height/weight requirements. I'm 5"10", 250lbs, and I need to weigh 190. I have until this time next year to lose the weight.

Currently, my diet isn't terrible, but there is room for improvement, and to be honest, I don't get much exercise at all.

What type of program would you folks recommend me start on?

Bullshit* cough*

That's a lb a week very easy to pull off.

I would suggest looking up the pt running requirements. And start building up towards that starting with walking and progressing up tothat. Diviy it up into weekly goals. As for eating. Count calories. U got a deadline. Take itserious start working on that discipline

the way that i lost 30 pounds was by using a calorie counting website, that way i knew what i was eating and i could also see progress weekly on graphs! I also did a weight loss program as far as some metabolism and fat burning pills go as well as a good blend of fatty acids. I consumed 1700-2000 calories per day and i was 215 at 5'8'' and know im 185. if you have any questions....please ask!

What site did you use?

I lost pounds through the use of gi-metoden. It works for me. But actually whatever diet or program you want to use or follow it all depends on your determination and the perseverance in order to succeed.

I really suggest you drink a lot of water and fruit juices and eliminate drinking sodas and alcoholic beverages...
