I need some advice

Im a 23 year old male 6' and 150lbs. Im not the healthiest guy on the block, not very active and ive never lifted in my life. Id like to become more active, lift weights and gain some weight but I have no idea where to start. What are some workout routines I can do at home with my bench and weights? I have no idea what sets and reps means either, along with the names of the exercises and how to do them. Absolute beginner lol. Should I stay away from supplements for weight gain as a beginner to?

Anything will help, personnal knowledge...links to websites

Yeah, stay away from supplements. Later, after you know more about your body and what different supplements do you'll be able to decide for yourself.

For size you might want to look at your diet also along with your workout. Protein should be fairly high, most people recommend 1-1.5gram of lean body mass.

First thing you have to do is get your general physical prepardness up. This strengthens your whole body, prehabilitates it to a certain extent and gets it ready for lifting and other bigger movements. This involves pushups, zero weight squats, medicine ball work, rotator cuff prehabilitation, stamina work etc.. Its a very important step especially with someone that is a beginner like you. You do not want to be sidelined by an injury early on. That is a leading cause beginners give up on working out. As far as supplements go, there are only three you should care about right now. They are a good multivitamin, a good essential oil blend and a post workout protein shake. All other nutrition should come from real food sources. Your protein drink should be consumed immediately after a workout and contain high glycemic carbs, such as maltodextrin and dextrose. Determining what % and grams of nutrienst you need is based on your lean body mass (LBM). PM me if you would like further information on a good GPP workout to start with or any other questions.
