I need help!

Hey there - I am needing some input - I am going to school full time, working when I'm not in school, and I'm a wife and mother. I need time to work out and can't find it! I will be 25 the 28th of this month, and my body just is not what I am used to, meaning that I have let myself get out of control. Any ideas?

It's impossible for us to say without knowing everything about your life but I guarantee that if this is important to you, you can find the time somewhere. It might mean waking up early (very early) or missing your favorite T.V. show, or going to bed an hour later. You have to decide what your priorities are and if this is one of them you will find a way to 'make' time. Hope this helps. :)

i am a single mom going to school full time. i'm 31 and iam in better shape than before i had my boys(3 &5 ). i work out when they go to bed or i get them involved - there is nothing like doing a 3 min plank with a 40lb kid on your back haha. but seriously if you want it do it let your kids see you do it it will instill good values in them and you'll have more energy too. thought it may be hard to find time during exams :( keep at it. i'll give you what ever encouragment you need. anything is possible, just reach for it.

Hey guys - thanks for your encouragement! I have this incredible desire to work out, but I also have guilt about dropping my son off to someone just so I can work out, because he is with a babysitter all day everyday. I am in nursing school, so time that can be used to work out is also used for study time, but I agree with you Karl - if I really have the will I will find a way. I'm looking forward to getting some great ideas on how to work out at home and get my body back to where I feel it should be! Have a good day all!

As far as I am concerned, there is one thing you can do that will improve your life as much as healthy eating, exercise etc. and that is.....

Turn off the T.V.!

It is the most destructive influence in our lives and it is turning human beings into uncreative, lazy, overweight, unimaginative, depressed, angry losers. Turn it OFF!!!

i agree cannavaro, i rarely watch tv. like maybe one hour a week. as far as studying and working out just balance it out. i find a good workout helps me focus and retain what i'm studying for. but in your chosen field your fitness is very important, so the stronger and the better body mechanics you have it will serve you in the long run. think of it as part of your studies! i have to as we have lift requirments and a ton of physical test to complete every couple of months. talk about modivation - our requirments are the same no matter what gender, size, anything. you can do it!!

Chazmom, if you really want to do it, you will. I believe that you'll find a way to put working out into the mix and be successful with it, if you truly want it. :) Remember to stay flexible with your workout schedule, don't be too hard on yourself if you miss a workout, but stay positive and keep moving in the right direction. Keep your energy level up and be happy. A work out can come in many forms. Find a form you enjoy and look forward to. Once you move from have to.. to want to.. to must do.. you'll begin to see the difference. Don't give up on yourself. You can do it.

Still working on it

I completely agree with everything you guys are telling me - just having some issues with putting it into practice! I'm in nursing school, so we are learning all about what we are doing to our bodies when we aren't taking care of ourselves. I have been trying to not watch much TV. Really trying. And my house is cleaner because of that! Unfortunately, I'm not in any better shape.

hey i hear you i'm training to be a paramedic so i know about the time factor but keep at it and do what you can. where are you from btw, i know the nurses here go non stop. and they do a fair amount of physical work. u nned to be strong for the job so u don't injure yourself.
