Hello!

Recently, I've bought a treadmill in hopes of starting to lose weight. I have no problems in regards to diet, my problem is I don't know what treadmill workout I would do to compliment my diet. I'm 150 lbs (63 kg) and my target weight is 120 lbs (54 kg).

I haven't exercised for about 5 months now due to my busy college schedule. Luckily, I've made such efforts to allot time to lose weight in order to feel and be better. My daily schedule is as follows:

1. M,W,F,Sat - class days. days where I usually walk about 2 km a day moving from one college building to another. I'm fully vacant 5 pm onwards
2. T, Th, Sun - vacant days. days where I actually do nothing

I wanted a workout schedule to nicely fit my everyday schedule. As much as possible I want to workout everyday on my treadmill. I just don't know where to start or how to create a program, or even, find the right settings on my treadmill. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU.

Hello! Welcome to the forums. I'm not a professional but I'll try to help.
If you are not too tired when you get home then workout. If you are then have a little rest for 1 or two hours then exercise or do it in the morning before school.
If you can wake up early workout because it is the best time to do so. What I would suggest is to do aerobics on lazier day with a few minutes or interval training on the treadmill. On your vacant days warm up and then really hit the treadmill. But remember just because you got a treadmill that doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything else. Sit ups , pushups , squats , weight lifting (you wont gain muscle if you go for a light weight like 3 kg you will get definition and you can do pushups better :)) and lots more. There are so many workout routines and methods you can try for free especially on youtube. Maybe on you vacant days try new things , experiment. But most important of all cut out sodas , sweets , eat less carbs and fat. Lots of fruit veggies etc... Eating well is the 70-80 percent of your weight loss, because you can't burn as many cals as you put in. So putting in less and burning some is the way to go. Hope this helps and good luck x
