I need help making a weight loss plan.

Why do you think that 1500 calories a day is a good idea?

For your current weight it's too low to sustain long term and you'll just be setting yourself up for failure... You want a calorie range you can stick with -and when you're down 50 or so pounds you're going to need some room to adjust those calories to accommodate a lower weight - when youre at 1500 calories you've got no room to wiggle...

Get an account at fitday.com - get yourself a food scale and learn how to measure and record everything that goes into your mouth.

Read the stickied threads in the forum -starting in nutrition and movingon to On Topic...

so you don't want any advice on how to be successful long term...

Most people define "worked" as getting the weight off and keeping it off... if you aren't keeping it off -you aren't replacing old habits wiht new ones so it's not really working... anyone can lose a few pounds -it's keeping it off that requires a new way of thinking.

Post of the day. I am buying myself a food scale today. I am currently 246 and I'm 5'8". How many calories should I be consuming? Rough estimate for breakfast today, I have eaten 423.33 calories.
 
I'll have to go with Mal on this one. You and only you can control what goes in your mouth. Did you friends stand there and force you to overeat and weigh as much as you do now ? Not one of them will stand up and say "I made him this fat" will they? YOU asked for help and then you make excuses why you don't want the help. I doubt, real seriously, that there isn't one person that posts here that hasn't been on your side of the coin. We are all looking for help but for the help to be truly help, YOU HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU, no exceptions. I can sit down and eat a 24 oz. Ribeye and not bat an eye, I love red meat, but I don't because that's one of the things that made me 100 pounds over weight. MY BMR is 2300 calories and I try to eat 1800, I don't starve myself, I just try to eat healthy and manage the proportions I eat. I try to balance my diet with low fat, carbohydrate, and protein, cutting sodium and sugar. It's not rocket science if you want to lose the weight, the tools are available for you to do it and keep it off, there is no overnight cure. It'll take hard work and sacrifice on your part. From what I've read so far you aren't willing to make the hard choices that need to be made, to make it happen. It's your decision, we can't make it for you.
 
You know what forget it, you people are terrible. Im asking for help to make up some kinda food and weight loss plan, i dont want your attitude's.

Im done with this forum, i know what your saying but i dont want you all to be a bunch of jerks about it, because from my end reading what your saying you have some serious issues yourself. Iv done this before i have more self control now im doing it my way. It was stupid posting here in the first place just delete this thread. Obviously i didnt get what i wanted outa this. I just posted what happend in the past im looking to the future i wasnt expecting you all to throw the hammer down and judge me i have enough of that in my life as it is.


Oh btw you havent read anything, Iv lost almost 50 pounds before i was just stupid on stopping it. I'll do it again and once i reach my goal and join the military i'll be thinking of your fat ass still on this forum.

Sad how people like yourself are stupid and ignorant at the same time. Blame EVERYONE else besides yourself as the problem. Oh, my friends made me eat and become fat again. Oh no, McDonalds made me fat, I'm going to sue them. Your original post showed how much lack of knowledge you have about this. In a year, I'm sure you're be sitting on your ass watching CNN wishing you were in the military with a tub of Ben and Jerry's in one hand and the remote in your other. Have a great life, bozo.
