I need advice Do sauna suits and tummy trimmer belts work?

My recruiter said that I should wear a sauna suit or a tummy trimmer belt as well as diet and exersize to help me shed the 20 lbs I need to loose for boot camp. Does anyone know if it really helps? I didn't see any post or threads about this.

Who is your recruiter? You should slap them in the face!

sauna suits will just make you sweat. You'll get rid of some water, thats all.

you will still have the same amount of fat, you'll just be dehydrated and unhealthy.

One guy told me about the "Green Monster" ya that doesn't sound fun at all. It almost killed one of my friends. I'm trying to get my running pace up I can go about a 1/4 mile befor I get winded. I've read almost all of the running threads and Find them to be very helpful as well as cutting my calories. My Brother suggested tieing a string loosely around my waist to remind me to keep my core tight(sucked in) to help streghten my abs. Along with the sit ups and crunches I do. Do ya'll know if the string thing is a good idea?
P.S. I've discoverd Yoga is the bomb! hee hee:D

Recruiters will tell you anything!

I wouldn't believe anything a Recruiter has to say. They are like car salesman. If you don't have to leave soon, tick your Recruiter off and shed the pounds slowly by exercise and eating healthy. Maybe even have him run with you!!!

Try this...

Try this and you will be prepared.

2- mile run in 15 minutes

50- push ups in two minutes

65- sit ups in two minutes

If you can start out doing this before your Basic you will already have past your PT test.

Once you have accomplished this...try doing some pull-ups.

Good Luck

Army PT Test

The post above is just the minimum standard.

You want to strive for the following:

2-mile run in about 12 to 13 minutes

Push-ups 100

Sit-ups 100
