Everyone has made great points!
I would suggest investing time in a diary. There's a section on here!
I use my diary to
* Keep track of my weight (and inches) - it's important to take both before you start, and on a regular basis, so you can see your progress
* Keep track of when, how much, and what I eat daily (often times with calorie amounts)
* Keep track of when and what I do for exercise - I keep a detailed log of this
By doing this in my diary I can see my progress, how far I've come, and also, if I'm not getting the results I want, I can look back and see what I can change! It's important to know what you put into your body, why you're putting it in there (are you hungry, bored, sad, etc.), and what you're doing in terms of physical activity!
Weight loss is all about the calories you ingest, and the calories you burn!! So if you keep track of that, then you can see your weight loss!!
The diary is also a great place to get advice! A lot of time people will read my diary and give me tips on how to improve my diet, or encourage me to engage in more cardio, etc! It's a great way for the community to help you figure out how you can be successful in your weight loss if you feel like you're not doing as good as you like!!
Good luck! And I wish you the best!
