There is absolutely nothing wrong with eggs....they are a whole food, which basically means the yolk and white are counterparts in giving you full nutrition.

The yolk contains some lecithin as does the white. This counteracts cholesterol to some degree.

The main issue here, though, is not the egg, but your health.

If your metabolism can use the food going in instead of trying to store it, you are ok. If you eat 200 egg yolks and stay in front of a tv all day, you will have issues.

Truly, for a balanced effect of getting proper nutrients from the egg, both should be eaten together if you will be eating yolks.

yes its true, but if you like it then just cut back in other areas.

Personaly If I have scrabled eggs in the morning I'll have 2 whole eggs, plus 2 extra egg whites

Thank you for reply
Anyway,I just found something about egg. Well the cholesterol is only in egg yolk and it is pretty high (213mg per egg yolk) and we sould not eat take more than 300 mg per day
It is recommanded that not more than 3 egg yolks per week,

But that is also the recommendation by the American Heart Association, based on the average American...who's obese, and doesn't exercise, and does spend 4 hours a day doing nothing but watch television.

I have 2 egg yolks and 5 egg whites for breakfast, 6 days a week.

It's really more about family history and one's total meal plan than it is about just an egg. I had upped my egg consumption to four whole eggs a day and that was with my doctors okay. Blood work has always been great. :)

I believe it abear. I have an acquaintence that had pretty bad cholesterol. She started lifting heavy, doing a little cardio, and INCREASED her fats to .4-.5g per pound of lean mass, with an even split between saturdated, poly, and monounsaturated fats, and her cholesterol is now in the normal/healthy range.

and she's eating a little more saturated fat than the AHA recommends (granted, they do recommendations for fat, lazy americans with bad diets...not people like us)

How many hens do you own?

^Ha!^

I even up the benifits by getting Omega 3 Eggs, so mine only have .5 grams of sat fat per egg. So I can go to town on them egg yolks (within my macro breakdown of course)

Don't make me card you MoK.

wait, I can't do that to mods. drat!

Yeah, we go through 3 dozen eggs a week at my house between me and my wife. sometimes I get turkey sausage thrown in, which reduces the number of eggs I need.

I've had the omega 3 eggs too. they're hard to come by here though. small supply, often gone when we shop on sunday nites.
