Weight-Loss I Know This Is Strange But Please Help!!!!

Ok this is my first post I have been spending the last 2 days reading stickys and reading old post.
Im 26 5'8 I started out at 211 but as of today Im 177 yippie my goal is 145
Here is my problem I can not eat. LOL
I get about 700-900 cals a day and that is trying to get more in.
I went to a nutritionist and she told me I gained my weight because Im not a eater. I understand it because my body is in starvation mode. I do not have a eating disorder. It just seems like I never have time to eat. ( I was a professional dancer for 6 years and ate the same way and stayed at my goal weight the whole time)Can someone help me with what to eat ? I just want to make sure I can get up to 1200 cals. or more a day and I want it to be healthy Im not a sweet eater or soda. Help someone please. (the nutritionist is a bit scattered brain and I only caught 1/4 of what she said I think she was to busy flirting my husband lol)
 
It would help if you actually recorded what you actually did eat...

I would also be darned sure that you are eating what you think you're eating.

I don't buy into the starvation mode gaining weight thing that's thrown out there.. I'd be more willing to beleive that the person isn't accounting correctly for what they are eating and probably eating more than they think they are...

I'd get a food scale and weigh and measure and keep track of what you are eating for a solid week (use a program like fitday.com or one of the 100s of free sites on the web0 and after that week is up - see where your nutrients are

I have been keeping a food journal for 6 months. What do you mean know what Im eating ?
I shot up from 145 to 211 in 8 months. I have been to a few different doctors with a lot of blood work but still no reason. I had to stop dancing because of my weight. Maybe the nutritionist was trying to just give me an answer ? I have lost my weight so far by working out and drinking a lot of water and trying to eat more and no fast food or eating out.
 
How are you keeping track of portion sizes in your food journal? Are you keeping track of calories and how they break down - like protein/carbs/fats etc...
 
I use the fitday counter but I measure everything. If it is not on fitday I spend the time and enter everything in. The fitday has pie charts that help but I'm not sure how to get more protein in my diet.
As of right now I have gotten 600 cals in me and the pie chart says
35% Fat
24% Protein
36% Carbs

I'm confused about the staple foods of a healthy diet where I get everything I need.
