I KNEW This Would Happen! :(

I've been go go go ever since January 1st....eating well and staying on track.

This week I'm PMSing and BAM! Instant cravings for chocolate .... so last night I ate 3 chocolate bars before I could even think straight.

I'm very irritable and haven't worked out in 4 days now.

I'm feeling down.
I'm feeling NOT motivated.
I'm feeling guilty.

I"m not in control of my eating and need to do something fast before this spirals out of control.

Unfortunately my out of control PMS does cause me to fall off the wagon....

I really need help to get back on.

I expect to have these symptoms for another few days but I need to do something now.

Any tips?Suggestions?Good kick in the ABS lectures?

Help.

put down the chocolate and just do it... :D

/me cracks whip... :D

/me gets the bullhorn and yells -hop to it - let's go... :D

what's done is done - let go of the guilt and keep going...

Midol always helps me with PMS.
Also, if you just get on the treadmill, afterward, you'll probably feel a lot better. Even if you still have the PMS, you won't feel bad about not working out and your diet etc.

GOOD Luck!

I know the feeling of eating a few sweats then wanting to give up, not feeling like excersizing or anything. But, I jumped back on the treadmill the next day, and then I woke up the day after, and wanted to run again.

I almost always crave sweets right before I start. I've learned that eating fruit will actually take care of the cravings. My cravings might last off and on for a few days so allowing myself to eat as much fruit as I want for those couple of days, keeps me sane...lol.

I know exactly what you're saying...cause ya sound exactly like me every month. When I first started getting my food/exercise into control I'd do great all month and then -wham- pms and the cocoa/carb cravings of TOM would hit me like a ton of bricks. Here's what I finally figured out worked for me so I'll offer it up in hopes it does the same for you.

Get a tin of Hersey's Unsweetened Natural Cocoa. 1 tablespoon is: 20 calories, 1 gram protein, .05 grams fat, 1 gram fiber and 3 grams carbs: good stuff to be chocolate! I mix it with 3/4 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 oz chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts or pecans), some fresh mashed berries (whatever's in season, frozen otherwise), and put it in little cups in the the freezer until it has the consistency of semi-soft ice cream.

It's sweet, it's refreshing, it's smooth yet crunchy (want some yet?) it feels like some decadent dessert and yet it's really just a combo of stuff you'd be eating anyway over the course of a day and won't blow a hole in your diet. I'm kinda anal about fake sugar, but if you aren't you could probably add a little bit to really rock the "yummy factor".

Wow! Great suggestions and I love the frozen treat and fruit substitute ideas.

I woke up at 5:00am this morning and my brain is just racing and I cannot stop feeling bad about my latest binge.

I feel so bad because it is exactly this time of month where I cannot get back on track and I immediately start putting the weight back on.

My anxiety rises to nasty levels and I get sooo fatigued and irritable. (no medications help and my doctors cannot help except SUGGEST i take antidepressant medication - I say NO THANK YOU to that - so every month i go through this for 1-2 weeks and it's not good).

I cannot let this stop me from reaching my goals! This weight fluctuation has to stop! I've already gotten rid of my larger clothes so I HAVE to keep the weight off..

Today however, I will try to stay focused and at least jump on the eliptical for 1/2 hour and see what happens.

It's nice to have support here.
