yeah i know about the rice, we have this hyooge bag of white rice though, and im kinda out of money to buy groceries, but ill be getting more soon.

What is really the difference? lower GI in the brown rice?

I wanna try to answer this in an attempt to lear.

Starch verses fiber.

one packs fat on the surface and the other help blow out the tubes.

hey Karky you know of a cookbook that deals with healthy and good food in Norwegian? I've tried to find some, but all I come up with are the Gillian McKeith books that really dont interest too much :(

sorry man, ive got no idea :( but if your english is good i dont think it would be a problem getting something in english.

Well done Karky - as informed as you are about the body it always rather surprised me that you'd go for boil-in-bag food. Congrats on making the steps to a more natural, nutritious culinary hobby.

no worries PB, this isent exactly the most serious thread anyways :p
And dude, it looks nice and all, but its just not enough! im gonna make chicken tonight, ill take another pic and post it here :D im planning on frying two chicken fillets, lots of veggies and rice. I really love those fried veggies like on the pic i posted, tasts so good :D

and yeah, sting. Its usually just in the holidays because my parents are away, ive been blessed with parents who always makes good healthy dinners for me, but after this summer i will be moving out to go to a university, so i decided to take the time to learn to cook. Boiling rice and frying some meat and veggies aint really that hard either :p

yea, i agree. i love fried veggies in olive oil. oh man...zukini and brocolli....i grill them sometimes too. sooooo good.
and im only 160lbs now so its enough for me :p
take a pic of your chicken tonight, and il take a pic of my ownage salad!!! LOL

If you're just starting out, I'd suggest getting a crockpot as the recipes tend to be on the simpler side. Many are just opening cans, cutting/chopping things up and putting it into the crockpot for x number of hours on low or high. I've done chili, ribs, paella, chicken wings, rice and lentils, sausages in a sauer kraut/beer reduction, and chicken breasts with a salsa/cream cheese sauce with corn and black beans in mine. Naturally, some of these meals are healthier than others, but all are tasty and easy to make.

That meal looks DAMN good - nice job Kark!
