i just yelled at my family about

yeah i definately got in a fight i was like IM NOT EATING that on thanksgiving im not GONNA eat That im only eating turkey im not gonna be unhealthy like the rest of you guys in this family your all unhealthy and i dont wanna be like that. and i went off and my dad was calling me a nut and **** and man **** that. I just wanna gain muscle and ill show them

umm... ok

If you didn't wanna eat, don't eat.

Was it worth going off on your family to do it?

EHehe! Something like this happened to me too.

My family after one point said "Alright, whatever."

But you should eat when this sort of thing arises. It's only 1 meal. 1 meal will not make you gain everything back, will not cause you cancer, stroke, ect.

Use it as an excuse to eat the unhealthy stuff. :D

what do you all eat on thanksgiving thats so unhealthy. i mean aside from like pies etc. and those you just need to say no thanks to.

Nobody, that's a bit obsessive-compulsive. Wouldn't it have been a bit easier to just look at labels and count your calories for adjustment?

I admire your dedication, but one meal, or even one day of eating junk is going to do little to nothing to your fitness goals. It's the habits that will make or break you. What's the point of being uber-healthy if you can't enjoy life?

Side note: if you want to gain muscle fast, there are very few things you do not want to be eating.

And what are those few things? I know bad stuff can add on fat but what can hinder gaining muscle?

You'll gain muscle by eating all you veg, turkey, potatoes and all the leftovers as well. If you wanna gain muscle you gotta be stuffing you face with everything you can 16hrs a day.

It's the damn holidays. Use it as your one cheat day for a month. Don't live your lives so consumed working out that you can't enjoy Thanksgiving with your family. Now leftovers is where you need to draw the line. I ate everything on the table on Thanksgiving but for the most part it wasn't all THAT bad compared to say having a cheat day at McDonalds. I just act all the normal fixings and skipped on the pie and deserts.

have protein shakes while they eat turkey...is what i did...you cant let them affect your goals...

This is an absolutely stupid suggestion. There's a difference between reality and goals and just plain obsession.

Not to mention that turkey is an excellent source of protein and calories.

I see no dedication over there, only stupidity. Briz, Hope you apologise your parents. That ain't a way to act on them; and in Thanksgiving day???

And I don't wish you luck on your physical goals. Ain't no guys like that have to have muscles, if they're that hostile and unthankful. Hope you get to your senses.

Edit: after reading your post again, maybe you didn't act as hostile as I thought after a first read, but still, that ain't no way to act in thanksgiving day. Some pie every now and then will only do good for your muscle goals.
