I have some question about my workout routine

Hi.

My body type is an ectomorph and i don't gain weight easily.

So i have attempted some workout in the past but they weren't too serious.

Now that i have a lot of time, i've been starting seriously.

I have some questions and i think my routine is really messed up.

One day i do Shoulder, Tricep, Bicep, Forearm

Another day i do like a pushup exercise that grows chest.

so i alternate between those two for 4~5 days a week.

I have like random rest in between. I might skip a day before the next workout.

So I noticed i've gained some weight overall but i think this workout is really wrong.

I use like dumbells and barbells with weights at home.

Any guidance to what i should do? or should i continue what i think works for me?
