I hate snow

:iagree: I also hate when you go outside, and its so cold it takes your breath away.....that just happened to me...sigh...I hate winter.

Agreed!

well...I do like to ski...and that does require snow...so....I just don't know!!

It's exercise, in fresh air. Burns calories like crazy! Keep that in mind next time...it worked for me! ;)

I adore snow. Was so excited when I left rainy England at Christmas and went to Idaho! They had a ton there! Shovelling the drive was so much fun!

1 I live in the country and our roads get really bad when it snows.
2 i have a really long driveway
3 My wife drives an hour to work one way.
4 I drive all day for work to various places ( im an inspector )
5 It stops me from walking because there are no sidewalks where i live and its rather dangerous to walk on the snowy road.

I Do like snow but only on weekends! haha

Well, every time we have snow in this country, there's chaos. These idiots here still haven't figured out that it has a tendency to snow in the winter, so every year, they are unprepared, don't have enough snowploughs and so on. They don't grit, or clear anything. Also, we had less than an inch of snow and they closed the schools down because it was 'too dangerous' to keep them open. THAT bit I don't like.

BUT...that's not the snow's fault, it's the stupidity and sheer laziness of people.

I love walking in snow. A brisk walk in snow is as good as a jog on any other surface.

I love driving in snow. I've learned how to drive in snowy conditions, and I know how to get snow chains on and off within 30 seconds. I'll go anywhere when it snows, and feel sorry for people who aren't capable to do it.

I even love shovelling. But more than that, I love to go walking in untouched snow, when it's just fallen. I love the sounds that it makes, and how silent everything seems. And everything looks pretty when it's snowed in. I could happily walk for hours in snow, and spent loads of time last year walking about while it was throwing snow down as if it was going out of fashion.

My husband thinks I'm insane. Thinking about it, he's probably right. :willy_nilly:

I have done many snow hikes i know what you mean haha.
I can drive in the snow well its just as i have learned the other guy that can not. why do you hate that they shut school down?

Once Christmas is over I get the winter blues. I'm not a fan of the cold. I could easily adapt to a warmer climate. lol

I try to think about it like that....but a couple weekends ago when we got over 20 inches of snow in about 24 hours ....I failed...miserably..LOL. I'm ready for spring! :)

True, there's always the others you have to look out for. No matter how well you can drive, if some idiot ploughs into you, there's nothing you can do about it.

I hate it when the schools are closed because that means that the offspring is at home. Which in turn means I get nothing done. For clarification, my stepson is mentally disabled and can't be left alone for even a second, he needs constant supervision. So the time when he is at school is the only time I have for housework, paperwork, shopping, doctor's appointments and getting everything else done that needs doing, plus somehow trying to find a few minutes for myself. When he doesn't go to school, I don't get anything done whatsoever. Even making a phone call with him around is next to impossible. So yes, I HATE it when they shut the school down for something as ridiculous as a few snow flakes.

I remember when I went to school, I was hip-deep in snow when I went. They wouldn't even have thought about closing it down. It's ridiculous nowadays.

UGH I can't stand hearing people complain about the cold and snow!! Growing up, my whole life...well, 18 yrs of it anyways, I grew up hearing my dad say "I HATE WINTER!" "I HATE SNOW!" ect... every freaking day in the winter for 18 yrs...and then even in the late summer he's start in, talking about how winter was almost here and how he HATES winter...I KNOW ALREADY!!! SHUT UP!!!! lol

I LOVE snow!! I was really upset when I moved to Kentucky and my first Christmas here was green. Christmas isn't the same without snow! Luckily this year it was a gorgeous white Christmas! It kind of makes me miss Canada!

I see what you are saying... My child is only 7 months old so its no biggie to me. My wife works in Harrisburg PA and she drive about an hour and i get nervous.
When i was in college we could commute about and hour and a half to get to school and one time we had a really bad snow storm and we started driving home i took my time and was driving on the interstate when a semi truck passed us doing well above the speed limit for normal conditions. Well about a minuet later he lost control and jackknifed his truck and flipped it. every car slammed on its breaks. but because of the horrible road conditions no one could stop. i didn't slam on my brakes because i was driving at a safe speed i steered my car into a ditch. alone the highway. Ever car around us was hitting something. I remember it sounded like fire works. so I yelled to my wife ( girlfriend at the time ) to get out. but our doors would not open because of the large ass ditch i drove into. i opened the sun roof and climbed out she climbed out a window. the guy in front of us hit a u haul truck and the Semi behind us hit and killed that guy while he was trying to get out of his car. when the mess was over a cop walked up to me ( the only guy in a ditch with out a wrecked car ) and asked what happened? I told him people driving to fast for conditions. he asked how i made it into the ditch. I said you can guess i wasn't riding the ass of the guy in front of me but instead being safe... so much for that. When AAA came the cop made that guy pull out our car first and we drove it home.
true story.

I heard on the radio that we have "a snow warning in effect" for 2 to 5 cm...
.....
.....
.....
really people? a warning for a light dusting of snow?

geeeeeeeeesh!

it's sad that I'm still hoping school is canceled!!

I don't like the snow either. I used to love it when I was little but now I have to get to work its not easy. The gritters only do the main routes here, which is great if you can actually get to the main routes in the first place.

After getting stuck last year I made sure i had a shovel and a bag of grit in the car this year.

I also suffer with Reynaulds which means my extremities get uber cold and painful. Even in the summer and even though I am overweight I have to dress in fleeces to keep warm. My partner reckons I'm the only person he has never met who has to get dressed to go to bed lol

this is what i am seeing
