I hate 1k post threads

Well I've finally notched up 1,000 posts, all of them more spectacular than the last so I thought I'd throw this thread up so you can all pay homage to my greatness. :)

In all seriousness though I'd like to use this thread to say thank to those on here that have helped me over the last year and give you all a progress update. Thanks to

(Silent) and Derwyddon for great nutritional info

Mreik for the great weight training stickies

Tony Mcclellan, Karky, Evo and Goergen1 for lifting tips, advice and insipration

Bipennate for being absurdly knowledgeable and explaining myofibril and sarcolplasmic hypertrophy to me which completely changed to way I trained

And I can't forget Chillen and Flyin Free, I don't always understand what either of you are saying but your dedication to your respective goals is inspirational.

Now for what I've achieved - I came to this site as a sickly 172lb skinny guy who just wanted to be less skinny in a years time and now I'm 221lbs and haven't had a days illness for over a year so I'm happy with what I've acheived so far. Before - 172lbs 32"waist 38"chest

The after pic isn't good as it makes my chest and arms look smaller than they are but you get the idea. I know my bf is too high right now but I'm happy with my progress and my lifts are improving a lot.

I think I only really started lifting properly recently so by the time my 2k thread comes up hopefully I'll be huge :)

Lol, thanks, I should have mentioned you too because I remember you being the first to reply with encouraging comments the first time I posted pictures, cheers :)

And as for progress, what encourages me the most is that I can tell now how awful my workouts were for about the first 12 months, if I get that right I'll hopefully get a lot bigger and cut the fat from my core. The biggest progress I've made is knowledge which I've got from listening to people on here, so if I post a load of crap then it's all your fault as you're all my teachers :D
 
CCR - glad to see you are making good progress. Super-Sweet.

Thanks Moonbeam, what about updates on your progress pics? You tempted us with talk of a glutes shot but it never came, I was heart broken :D
