I had the pleasure of meeting John Cena

I'm sure most of you know who John Cena is but for those who don't, he is a professional wrestler in the WWE. He is also an actor and released the new movie called "The Marine" and is currently in the process of shooting another movie.

Well Tuesday night while waiting for my delayed flight, my GF and I decided to have a few drinks as I am DEATHLY scared of flying. We went to a bar across from our gate and noticed a BIG brotha sitting alone at one of the tables. Off the bat I knew who it was however my GF didn't think it was him. So being as I talk to anyone and everyone, I decided to introduce myself and start a convo with John Cena.

I've never in my life met such a down to earth person as John. Some of the celebs you meet don't want to be bothered with anyone but John was different. We ended up hanging out with him at his table for over an hour and talked about so many things from where he grew up, to how he got started in the WWE, to diet/training, etc...We also shared a few shots/beers with him.

I also told him about my website and what I do and gave him the web address to my forum. He said he will DEF check it out. I gave him my telephone number as I live in the same city where the WWE offices are and he visits here from time to time and said he will give me a shout next time he is in the area. He invited us to a wrestling show next week as well.

I am very happy to have met such a cool individual as John and wish him much success in his future.

Here is a pic of my GF and John (GF was a little tipsy). I took one with him as well but it came out blurry as hell because my camera phone sucks and our digital was in our bags that were checked.

He is pretty large. Pretty cool that he bs'd with you..

Don't lie though, you just don't wanna put the pic of him next to you because you look tiny.. lol

LOL...I did feel pretty small next to him.

I thought I had big traps until I put my arm around him when we took a pic. It felt like he had 2 boulders on his shoulders.

He is a very big bro...

Why would Cena be at a airport terminal all by himself? You would think that he'd have a publicist or someone with him? All in all, really cool....
 
Actually, wrestlers travel by themselves quite often. They do shows in different cities night after night, so either they rent cars to get them from city to city or fly after a swing in a certain part of the country. All the traveling they do it would be impractical to have any kind of entourage with them.

I ran into Ric Flair in Port Columbus one evening, and as I passed him I said "Damn thats.... hey Ric hows it going" and as i did, he looked back at me and flipped me off. I didn't ask him for an autograph, nothing..
 
John Cena is Awesome!!!

For some reason he always remided me of a larger Mark Wahlberg (the actor, not the game show host)

Mmmmmm kinda. I think it was you who said you use to be in the business but its my understanding that wreslters travel in groups. I spose he was just getn away from the boys for a bit.

Anyways, as a wrestler, i can't stand John Cena but i'd probably mark out if i saw him like you did. That's a cool deal man.
 
Nah I wasn't in the business but I've had friends in the business... and by "by themselves" I meant without publicists, aides or any kind of assitants.. Usually the lower to mid card talent do travel in packs because its cheaper that way. They get package deals on air travel and 4 guys splitting a rental car saves the company money. Although Ol Vinnie Mac doesn't necessarily need the money.

Cena as a wrestler is WAY more credible than he once was.. I'd probably mark out too if I saw him though. I'd probably mark out for anyone who I saw except for maybe Chris Masters or Randy Orton, I dislike them both very strongly lol.

They also travel together when workin the independants.
